| I've seen so many post saying that Max having four strings on a guitar is stupid. How the hell is it stupid? The guy plays rhythm guitar, its not like he did solos. I play in a band and I also play with four strings cuz I dont use the B and E strings for shit. Now why is that stupid? |

| the only concievable reason I can see it being stupid is that you warp the neck on your guitar. otherwise I imagine it's eliminating two strings that you don't use there for leaves more room for error. I played with four for a bit when I was starting but now I just can't go with out playing the solos and I even have 5 strings on all of my basses |

Blixa, what is your problem lately? Have you caught Khalifa's attack of the dickhead syndrome? 
I have no problem with the 4 strings. If you're not gonna use them, may as well take them off, so there's no chance of striking those strings, particularly on the faster, thrashier songs. |

| You know, I've noticed it lately too. I don't particularly mind. Blixa's been pretty frustrated and stressed lately I'm guessing, and he's a very funny, cool, intelligent guy so fuck it, let him vent. I don't see him going too far yet, and to be honest, really, he's been cracking me up. He might scare away these people, but really they've been posting some questionable things. I just look over it, but I guess it gets under B's skin. I'll let the mods decide if what he's doing is uncalled for. In the meantime I'm just laughing my ass off at his comments. Besides he could never be as big a dick as K'! |

C'mon man calaveras post all have something to do with max...I'm probably wrong and I hope I am, but maybe not.....and yes I have been a little stressed lately B's in the hospital(nothing too serious) at the moment and I am thousands of km's away....

As far as lyrics go, Max was far more superior than Derrick. As for vocals, yes I know this has been disputed a billion times, Max has the stronger vocals. "Its not hard to scream Roots Bloody Roots", have any of you listened to Under A Pale Grey Sky? Max's vocals were amazing for over 2 hours. I just recently went to a Soulfly show last Tuesday and he can still play all his Sepultura shit. Including the solo's to Roots and Territory. If Max was to come back into Sepultura it would be the greatest thing that ever happened.
Get your shit together man... If you don't know shit about Max, then at least have the decency not to say he's better than Derrick. Go do your homework and come back in a few years (and use another nickname, cause Calavera will always be a synonym of shame in my book).
And be careful not to let the door hit your ass on the way out.

For those who are 'fighting' for Max's reliability to play Sepultura's songs, have you heard the Roots Bloody Roots version he includes in the digipack version of Prophecy?
Sepultura is much more than memories of the past with Max. They have shown they are THE MUSICIANS, from Against to Roorback. The spirit remains the same. |

The fact is...you have 6 strings....you just use 4, Ok then...the fact is that when you want to use the other two..you HAVE them...if you want to use them but you just have 4 then...you can´t use them man..it´s fucking logic!!! i mean...the fact is that you just use 4 coz MAX uses four strings...if he used 6, then all this thing would not happen even if you don´t use the first and the second strings.
The other thing that i think is: do whatever you want man! if you are happy like that it´s ok  . |

| using 4 strings is a reasonable idea- max does rhythem guitar, so pretty much all he needs to do is power cords, and the top strings arent much use there, so you may as well remove them, adjust the tension in the truss, et voila- no annoying high strings to get in the way, and be picked by accident. anything to make your job eaisier is obviously a good thing. |

Yeah, if i didnt use them then i'd take em off, it makes thrashing madness so much easier, you can play harder without as much effort if you dont have to worry about clipping the other strings.
And yeah, i was gunna pm you blixa, you'd started to be a bit rash.

| I did see this guitar lesson with max and there he says that the two strings got broken but that he never cared to get new ones because he never use the two strings, how did they got broken if he never uses them? hehe |

Keith Richards only uses 5 strings, so I guess why not take em off if you dont use em, but i do see it as limiting. Basically becomes a feeble bass but hey if thats what you want go for it. BUt I must say his signature guitar isnt what id buy with no tone control, one puckup and only a volume, sound similar to a Blink182 signature fender anyone?
Yeah Id give everyone a chance, but it is often clear if they are here to stir shit. I say gove Blixa his rants cos we all know hes a sound fella deep down and come up with many a good post so dnt write him off for a few shitty outbursts. |
